That’s a great question — one we often get asked and rarely seem to have a clear answer for. We often know who we want to be or what roles we are expected to play in life. We may think we know who others want us to be. Thankfully, after years of soul searching and self-discovery (including therapy), I can confidently say: I know exactly who I am.
I am the one and only me in the world. I don’t fit into a single definition, nor do I try to box myself in.
I’m Bronwen. I’m kind, I love wholeheartedly, and I find beauty in most things. I’m supportive, charismatic, and strive to make meaningful connections.
I’m Canadian, and yes, I say "eh" and use "u" in words like colour and behaviour. I apologize too much, and perhaps I’m overly polite. I love to travel—especially road trips—even though I tend to get motion sick and end up napping most of the way. I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, and just hanging out. My favorite places to find solitude are bookstores and beaches.
I am constantly surprised by my own resilience and strength. I enjoy facing my fears because I believe nothing should hold anyone back from achieving their dreams—well, except for ethics and safety, of course. While I deal with numerous physical and mental challenges, I do not let them define me or control me. I won’t use them as an excuse for my behavior, but rather as an explanation.
I am a mother, a wife, a friend, and a daughter. I am a mental health advocate, a writer, an artist (specializing in mixed media, resin, paper crafting, drawing, and sewing...), an instructor, and a lifelong learner.
I am ever-changing, ever-growing, and whimsically playful. I am deeply spiritual, believing the world is so much bigger than just one person, and everything is connected.
I am 100% me. I am perfectly imperfect.
When it comes to my art and designs, everything is created with passion. My imagination has no limits. I love to push boundaries: blending art styles, recreating worlds, and crafting pieces that make people think. I want my work to bring joy and a sense of connection, to make people feel as though it was created just for them. I have a deep love for steampunk and psychedelic styles. Anything to do with fantasy, magic, and whimsy captivates me. I see things from perspectives others might not notice. I search for unusual angles, hidden elements, and unexpected beauty.
The world around me is a beautiful place, and my art is magic. It transforms raw materials into something unique and extraordinary. I feel the energy flow through my body and into my hands as I create. I thread a piece of my love and spirit into everything I make.
